Visit the city!

I’ve missed the city. Pounding her pavements and taking it all for granted is so 2019.

With my newly expanded bubble I’m keen to explore further afield parks, meet up with long-lost-friends and experience things that I hope to never see again…as it is right now.

Cue…the CBD.

So here’s the idea. Picnic in the city!
Order an EARL picnic to collect from one of our CBD locations instead of getting it delivered to home. Travel in (within your 25km bubble!), make a trip of it. Collect your picnic lunch at a time that works for you, enjoy the beautiful gardens that the city dwellers have been keeping to themselves for the past months; Treasury Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens, Birrarung Marr, Carlton Gardens, Flagstaff Gardens.

Afterwards take a walk through the CBD and reacquaint yourself with the city as she wakes up from her covid slumber. A visit to “dine” in the city, doesn’t just have to be a restaurant reservation in a parklet, there are so many amazing, under-utilised, beautiful parks for picnic catchups, and your picnic lunch can be waiting for collection at EARL.

Order a Spring Picnic Share Platter, select collect from EARL Bourke St to picnic at Flagstaff Gardens or head over to Carlton, Treasury or Fitzroy Gardens, Birrarung Marr (there really are a lot of beautiful outdoor spaces in our CBD).

Fingers crossed, our retail can open in the coming weeks too, so this becomes an even more compelling plan to meet up, picnic then shop and wander.

City cafes, shops and experiences have missed all the attention, EARL at Home is awesome, but why not come say hi to us in the city again, collect a picnic, buy a coffee, we’ve missed you!
